first find a seam and peel the vinyl layer off = you will then see a paper backing still attached to the wall - using a sprayer with water wet an area pretty good - let it sit for about 10 - 15 minutes - after that time is up use a plastic putty knife and start scraping - after all the wallpaper is removed clean the wall very thoroughly with a product from your local home improvement store to remove all old wallpaper paste - When that - work in small areas at a time - When your wall is free from paste & completely ready to go, I would use a good primer & repaint - Afterall that work that went into taking down wallpaper, you certainly do not want to find yourself putting it back up... Good Luck

Hi, this is a fast and easy way to do that. You won't need to remove the wall paper, leave it up. You will instead use cotton material and some Liquid Starch. You have more choices of patterns, it's easy to put up, If you make a mistake,or he doesn't like it ,you can easily take it down. Using a spray bottle, the starch makes a easy task of putting it up. Use about 1/2 to 2/3 full strength and the rest water. Spray it on the wall, than from the top, just smooth the material on either with your hand,a sponge,or whatever. It goes right up. If not , use more starch. Than just paint the other wall in a color that goes well with the pattern, throw a couple of area rugs down, you could even get new glass for the light if you wanted to. And you have a new room for a surprise! Good luck, Bye

They have machines you can rent to remove the old wallpaper but it's very hard and very time-consuming to do. That old wallpaper is on there good and tight so I would hire a professional to remove it all. I would go with paint because it's easier to paint in a a few years than it is to wallpaper.

I bought a small steamer from Lowe's for $40. It was a breeze to remove the wallpaper with this. I've removed the wallpaper from my daughter's room and my kitchen with ease.

ultimate way I truly have got here across to take off wallpaper is to steam it off. you are able to lease a steamer from a condo save for the day for rather cheep. I truly have used the bottle ideas and that they paintings yet are messy, stinky and not besides as steaming. you are able to could desire to perforate the paper based no rely if this is tender or matt. i could paint. much less demanding, greater inexpensive, and in case you pick to alter it up later, lots much less headache. you are able to continuously submit a border of wallpaper on paint in case you pick. verify you get all glue off the wall in the previous portray, it is going to coach by way of after which you have a large number. sturdy success!
