My bf of 3months is at his sisters wedding in USA. Before he left we split up as I felt he wasnt as committed to our relationship. He agreed but said he still had issues about his fiance who he split up with last Christmas.
He has been away for 2 weeks and has not e mailed or rung me. I am thinking this is his way of distancing himself. What do you think. He will be home this week-end and I have really missed him like crazy. How should I be with him. I would rather salvage a friendship than lose him altogether.

If you split up you need to give him some space. You don't just go from a relationship to a friendship with the snap of your fingers. It doesn't work too well that way. It might take a while before it's not awkward.

Well if YOU broke it off with him, he probably is respecting your wishes to end the relationship. If it's friendship that you are seeking, let me tell you from experience that guys have a harder time with this than women. They can't understand it when/if you move on with someone new. Sometimes, it's just better to cut all ties. However, tell him of your friendship desire and see where it goes. Who knows? Maybe it will bring you two closer.

He's not playing at anything. You broke up. Why should he call or email you? You're no longer a couple. It sounds like you thought that if you tried to end the relationship he would commit to you and he didn't. Maybe he's moving on and you should decide what you want.

If he has issues with an ex give him all the space in the world to work it out. DO NOT hang around waiting for him to end up trashing you. Move on and find someone who wants to be with YOU.

my bf went on holiday and didnt txt me at all x on the day he was due home i bought in food etc x got a roaring fire going (january snows) x made everything just right for his homecoming x guess what - he went straight to his mates x when i eventually saw him that day he was covered in love bites x he said they were from lady boys and it was just a laugh x i was so distraught x see i missed him he didnt miss me x we havent spoken since and its still raw with me x miss him x but WE CANT BE mugs x

You just broke up with your fiance who was someone else's fiance 7 months ago. Honey, you were not the fiance you were the rebound girl. Let him go, he's just going to hurt you more.

u said u broke up....which part of that is unclear??..he's not mailing you cause he's at his sister's wedding. no offense but if he was not committed enough to begin with why do u think he's going to be mailing u after u hv officially broken up???not to forget he's attending the marraige of someone close to him??

when he gets back home, just call him and tell him that you missed him and that as friends you guys should go out and hang out, then once you guys hang out express yourself to him a little bit at a time not altogether where you will scare him off.

If somebody split up with me, then I wouldn't email or ring them either. You've probably hurt his feelings and he doesn't want to look like he's chasing you!

then you will know his true feelings
its hard whn people break up they need time to heal and if he says he still has issues about his fiance that means he's not ready to get involved
