You need to be more descriptive about what and where the hole is.

There are lots of holes in the rear cover- they let the heat out!

You may have a dead pixel. This is where one of the pixels does not light up properly, giving a small black dot. Also possibly a small yellow, cyan (light blue) or magenta (pink) dot. (When on a white screen.)

Dead pixel specs vary from manufacturer to manufacturer, but if you have a black dot, then in my book that counts as three sub-pixel failures (1 red + 1 green + 1 blue) and it should be replaced if the machine is in warranty.

Hole in the LCD screen or the plastic?

If it's in the screen... and the screen works, carry on using it. It's going to fail eventually because the LCD isnt a sealed unit any more, but you may as well carry on using it till it fails.

And remember... no matter how small the gun do not shoot your screen. It's not good for it.

You would get monitor juice all over everything. It's hard to clean off of things too. Try using a strong, harsh, abrasive but good smelling cleaner. Surprisingly Lava hand soap is the choice of leaking monitor owners everywhere.

i would take it in to get it repaired as soon as possible. if something by chance starts leaking out then you have a health risk. I am sure that stuff is not good for you... there is really nothing you can do to help it besides take it to a shop or send it back to the manufacturer

how did the hole get there? was it that way when you bought it or was it damaged? if there all along probably a manufacturer design if damaged then I would worry about moisture getting in but if it does not affect the monitor don't worry about it.

Might be a dead pixel, it happens when they start getting old.
