the moth man is real. The true moth man has nothing to do with the movie. infact at first he had other names like bird man, but then a book was wrote titled the "The Moth Man" and the name stuck.
Yes he is in Point Plesent WV. I went to university just over the river in Ohio. He live at an old TNT plant just out side of point plesent. Some believe he is some type of frek experment that got away. Way back when the TNT place used to be a "lovers lane" of sorts and young couples drove out there. One night something large landed on top of a car and flew beside the car all the way back into town. The creature had red glowing eyes. There is even a statue of him in Point Plesent with red glowing eyes, its some what creepy. yet still something you just have to see.
As for Point Plesent, it in general is a creepy town. The people are very very very friendly, not that there is anything wrong with that, they are just friendly in a "makes the hairs on you neck stand up" sorta way. Who knows what gos on behinde closed doors.....i did not intend anyway from PP WV.

Well, they made one of the SLOWEST, most BORING movies imaginable about the Moth Man. That's all I know.
