apparently many people i know have been there and they say its a lovely place but the people there treat visitors like trash. my frends are asians - korean, japanese, pakistani and wen they went to cafes and all, the waitors werent bothered to give them seats, and at malls people gave them the evils. any views on this?

I'm black, they treated me very well. Of course I read the book "culture shock: France!" before I went and learned how French people expect to be treated. By acting on what I learned I had absolutely no problem with them, in fact I found them to be unbelievably friendly. I think people who get bad reactions and brand them snobs or racists would get different reactions if they learned to treat the French the way they treat each other.

I dont know about racist, but they are p*ssies. Next time, tell them be nice or you will invade and take over their country with a girl scout troop.
