If i have a two year degree as a radiology technician and want to become a physician, do i start all over or some of my credites will transfer to the university i am going to study in.

You'll have to take the MCAT, then apply to and be accepted to a medical school. Then they will tell you if any of your previous credits transfer toward your four year medical education.

dianah.ross: Since you don't allow email, I will respond here. I read your questions, and I wanted to give you a little info... the correct title is "radiologic technologist." In x-ray, there really isn't "typical" - since x-rays are needed 24/7/365, there are all different shifts, full time, part time, contingent, and travel. Pay also varies A LOT depending on where you live and what type of facility you work for. As far as growth potential, you can go into other modalities, such as MRI, CT, mammography, ultrasound, nuclear medicine, interventional radiology, or radiation therapy, or eventually into management or teaching.

You will have to complete a degree completion program an additional 2 yrs of study =a total of a (4yr degree) then u apply to med. school......Best wishes.....Can u tell me a bit about Radiology Technicians I was considering that at one time?
ex. typical hours wked.----typical pay-----growth potential in the field.... and anything else that u want to share about the profession.... Thanks
