Define marital harmony? Marriage is suppose 2 be a partnership, but it's not uncommon for one partner to should the relationship more than the other at any point in time. Successful marriages are couples who r secure and happy,who work at their relationship and have good communication. They have a relative positive trust and respect for each other. They compliment each others strengths and weaknesses.
There r one marital marriages that appear in harmony but the giver usually is very unhappy and alone. They r used by their partner til either they have nothing further 2 give or the user finds a new mate.

A marriage takes 2! One person can't sustain a marriage. You need to learn to talk and work problems out. One person can't just sit back and rely on the other person to serve, nod their head and agree with what the other is saying. Marriages that do don't last, unless the partner that is giving all the time is an idiot. Marriage today is disposable, no one wants to work at it, go to court and get a divorce, easiest today than 20 years ago.

it takes 2. You can't have a one sided relationship and expect it to work. Just like you have to have 2 sides to have a war. It takes 2 to work out the problems and work at then together.

That depends. It should take two, but that's not always the case.
It can take one if that person is the one who always gives in and holds things together. Not very fair for the person doing it.
