Yes, but the real question is how will he handle it and will Major League Baseball recognize him as the new record holder. The next question is then if he breaks it and it is found out that he abused steroids, do they strip him of the record and his MVP's?

Yes, he is going to break the record. He should do it sometime in early August, would be my guess.

As for him doing steroids...let's be honest here...if they haven't caught him by now, they will never catch him. They have been inside & out with his life for the last 5 or 6 years, and if they haven't found anything out to this point, what would make anyone believe they ever will.

Until they find something on him, he is just a guy that everyone "thinks" is cheating. Everyone knows he took them, but the fact is, there is no proof. Because of that, MLB needs to do the right thing, and honor the record.

If Bud Selig does not attend the game, or does not do something to honor the milestone, he should be replaced, on the spot. He needs to put his personal politics aside and do what is best for the game...and what's best is to recognize the achievement.

If you accept being on steroids, playing in tiny little ballparks, and watered down pitching (through expansion) - then yes, he will break it.
Personally, I am more concerned about the new scientific discovery. Scientists have just discovered a tiny little moon orbiting around Bonds' head!

of course he'll break it, thats not a doubt in anybody's mind. But.... the real question- does he deserve it? Lots of rumors and stuff going around, but is it true? As to steroids, well, you can be the judge of that, but i have my opinion. I don't think you want to hear it, so i'm not gonna tell you. But, it shouldn't take long now, especially at his rate.

Only way he doesn't if Aaron runs him down with his car. Which would bring more pub to baseball than the actually sterobreaking of the record itself.
