Also try http://www.trojanscan.com
It will scan for trojans and remove them from the WEB....
Dont listen to people saying "Get rid of norton and installed another scanner" doesnt matter what scanner it is, if norton cant remove them, they are probably COMPRESSED and no software will remove them...
Also if the trojans are in USE they cant be removed... What does norton say about WHY they cant be removed???
#1 Reboot your pc.
#2 Before you see windows starting up, hit F8 on your keyboard untill you see an advanced menu.
#3 Choose "SAFE MODE"
#4 When it gets to windows and safe mode, login to the ADMINISTRATOR account...
From here do a full system scan with norton, and see if it finds and removes the trojans...
If not, log back out, then log into your user, and do the same thing.
#5 If succesful reboot, and enjoy :).

A lot depends on which version of Norton you are using, and whether your Virus Definitions are up to date. Firstly, try running LiveUpdate and see if Norton is able to take care of the trojans. If this doesn't work then try using an online scanner such as Windows Live OneCare ( http://onecare.live.com/site/en-us/default.htm ) or get the Microsoft Malicious Software Removal Tool ( http://www.microsoft.com/security/malwareremove/default.mspx )
Do you know the specific names of any of these trojans? You can try googling "how to remove (the name)", you might find a solution somewhere that tells you how to remove them.
Finally, if all else fails, download another AntiVirus Software such as Kaspersky - it is very effective. I personally use McAfee VirusScan, and having found no problems with that too, I'd recommend you give that a shot.

Scan again and try and attempt removal in safe mode.
In general, Windows does not allow the deletion of files when they are in use. However, Safe Mode will only load a minimum amount of drivers and services to run Windows, giving removal a better chance. Scan again and attempt to delete while your computer is in safe mode.
To access Safe Mode, reboot then repeatedly press the F8 key at the first screen. The screen will look strange, but don't panic. This is normal in Safe Mode.
When finished removing that pest, reboot again to return to normal mode.

Do a Google search on the trojans to find out how to get rid of them.
Then write an email to Symantec and ask for your money back.

You might want to try using Avast instead of Norton, I've used it for years with never a problem.
