No, everybody is different. I may try to start a conversation with the person. If they open up , fine, if not, that's fine too. Maybe they are just a people watcher. An artist at heart... I am like that at times. I can also be a talker if it is something I'm interested in.

my husbands best friend is like that, he only talks when there is something to say. he is not one for small talk.
when i first met him, it was really weird cause i was all about the small talk getting to know you stuff and he just was not into it. now, 14 years later, i have just come to accept that is who he is.
so yes, at first it does just because we are soooo used to people talking to hear themselves talk!
