Women can be just as evil and horrible as men.. yet no negative treatment of women is EVER justified if coming from a man? But you can slap a man for saying something you don't like? What is this?

Nice women should be treated like royality just like nice men. And evil women deserve to be treated like crap... just like evil men.

Feminists feel that all people should be treated with respect and if that was the case there would be no need to treat another negatively. I think when you run into a situation where a person is treating you badly you should just remove yourself from that rather that get to the point where you need to lash out. Why subject yourself to another persons abuse whether that be a man or a woman.

I guess that women just like to be treated nicely. I like being treated nicely. But yeah, a lot of the time women expect men to be like their slaves and cater to their every want and desire. That would be a very selfish kind of lady. But usually those type of women are very insecure. THey don't love themselves and they hate how they look or feel. So they think that by having a boyfriend that guy could make them feel better, but thats usually not he case. I mean, how can you unselfishly love someone else if you don't even love urself? So those girls like to be treated like queens to boost their self-esteem but of course thats horrible for the guy. I mean he wants to be in a good relationship not just be used when the girl is feeling ugly. Also they may have been spoiled and not raised right while they grew up. Some girls think of guys as toys to satisfy their desires and that can be treated badly because they can throw them away whenever they want to. High maintenance girls can also ask for too much and give little. Stay away from all of those kind of girls. But you know, not all girls are like that. A lot are, but not all. Like for example I would not like it if a guy took me to fancy expensive places and waited on my hand and foot. That would make me uncomfortable. I would prefer just going to places where we could have a good time and when we could spend time together. Some girls don't really ask for much. Just a few things would be nice. Like lets say, opening the door for them or either paying the whole bill or going dutch. It would be rude if the girl had to pay everything. Just because usually a guy is seen as the head of the relationship and to treat the girl nicely. But at the same time girls should treat their men nicely too. Like thanking them for all they do for them. And maybe rewarding them for their efforts. Unfortunetly, women don't really do that anymore. But not all women are bad. But I can see why most women get you upset. Their are more divas out there than nice girls. And you can't really tell which ones are the nice girls cause they all look the same. But don't lose hope! Good girls are out there!!

I agree
that it makes no sense in American society (and many others) to say it's okay for a woman to slap a man.

I believe that notion came from a time when men and women valued "honor" very highly because their social standing depended on it. (And social standing effected social and financial opportunities. At this time, marriages were mainly financial/political/practical arrangements not so different from apprenticeships also arranged by parents.)

A slap was NOT intended to injure, but was intended to humiliate or reprove. Originally, I think a man might also slap another man as a public sign of disrespect. A woman generally would slap a man who had been verbally inappropriate or offensive, which was embarrassing to him NOT because he let a woman hurt him, but because a woman (or man) had publicly claimed that he was rude or inappropriate. His honor was tarnished; it would be more difficult to arrange a beneficial marriage or other financial/political agreement. The slap did not occur often, and not just because a man said something she didn't like, but because he was so far "out of line" that she was willing damage her own social standing in order to publicly tarnish his. She was sort of making the conflict public hoping that the community would agree with her and his reputation would be damaged more than hers. Since women at the time were very dependent on marriage for their social standing, they would be totally self-defeating to do anything worthy of a public slap, and her value in the community was so dependent on men that a man really had no need to publicly humiliate a woman, he could simply walk away.

NOW, that women (at least in some countries) have legal/political equality, the whole concept makes no sense. Marriage is not usually a financial/political arrangement, and neither a man nor a woman is dependent on social standing for financial security or success.

So ladies, accept the rights that so many others can hardly even dream about, and quit slapping people who offend you. You don't need the community to decide if some guy's behavior was wrong or not, you can decide for yourself. No-one deserves to be treated badly, and everyone has the same right to walk away and not be around someone who does not treat them with respect.

Bottom line:
When someone (man or woman) acts like a jerk, walk away secure in the knowledge that you DO NOT NEED a person who says or does things like that.

Don't worry, women are treated kindly and with care by a good percentage of men. There are always a few who deeply resent such powers that still remain to women, but have self-righteous outbursts that accuse women of being 'evil'. The men use the vocabulary of religious bigots, from whence the first deep misogyny sprang.

The men who moan most, are the ones who expect women to kowtow to the non-existent male superiority and are huffy and pout when they don't. They complain women want men for their money, and it's not true - but as there are not enough generous women to go round all the men with no saving graces and no prospects, it may look like that. I wish the long-suffering ranters would realise how easy their situation is to read, and how pathetic their little social aspirations.

I thought it was only those Women who were unsure of Themselves who actually needed to have Their ego stroked by being put on a pedestal.

(Just asked the 'girls' coming onto My ward and the answer is: Only in America do Women think like that.
Who am I to argue with 'real' Women).

Well, let's see...a Queen. Say, like the Queen of England? Well, her husband ****** around on her, she has all the responsibility for her family; her sons have cheated on their wives and have been less than respectful to their mother; she's had to smile and maintain a positive public persona despite everything she goes through daily. Know what? I'd say we are being treated like queens.

All women need to be treated fair, not like queens. Unless they are either way too conceited and think they do, or unless they treat men like kings, if not then hell no.

Getting better dude. This is a good question.

Honestly I wouldn't want to be treated like royalty - no fun in that. I just like to laugh a lot, and I think I have a good sense of humor. I just wanna little respect, just like any one else.

Let's say that it comes from "better than thou" thinking. Let me state her that I'm totally against that type of thinking. I agree with you completely women who deserve it should be treated accordingly and those who don't should be treated accordingly; no they MUST BE treated accordingly.
