if you want to know show up early to a game and watch batting practice/warm-ups. Starts about 2 hrs before the game.

well for batting practice, have you ever been to a game an hour before they start they have the cage out for practice. And they also stretch and run. For pitching they just toss the ball around, some long toss, El Duque for the Mets warms up with a softball, this way when he grabs the baseball its easier for him to throw the soft stuff.
