The suggestion of something and the suspense is far worse than any sort of gory horror that you are explicitly shown. Your own imagination can be your own worst enemy when suggestion is involved.

I neither watch horror movies nor read scary books. I am such a chicken. What scares me in a horror movie is the sounds and screams. I can't see blood and interns all out. I hate this. I read that people who have good lives tend to watch these movies in search for some spices. If you take a country like India where the level of life is very low, you'll find out that people watch romantic promising movies rather than scary and cold horror movies.

of course i've seen horror movies and books
what keeps me watching is because i can't get enough of them even though eventually i'll get scared by them
what keeps me reading is because the novels are so good
i peek from behind my fingers because i'm curious what's the ghost doing at the TV but i'll close my eyes again after 3 seconds looking at the screen
because i love the novels that R.L Stine and Stephen King make, and if i stop reading them the feeling of curiosity is killing me more than the thought of the ghost from the book is real and is maybe isn't far from me and maybe it's planning to do something horrible to me
because then i'll think scary stuffs and i can't sleep, can't help the think of maybe if i turn or open my eyes i'll see them, the light calms me and i won't feel so scared anymore
darn, i'll have problems sleeping tonight!!!!!

I love scary music and when the bad guy jumps out at ya. And when the person will go where we know that killer is (like a house or somethimg) lol.
I LOVE HORROR MOVIES!

wat scares me d most in horror movies is d sound effects.. i have 2 partly cover my eyes coz i scream so loud when im startled.. its really a shame 2 take me 2d cinemas

they usually don't scare me at all
but I have seen one that did when I was pregnant I think it was cause my hormones were all messed up
