Ronald Reagan as he brought this country together when he was President! Every President since has divided the country! I hope we get a President like Reagan soon!

Jimmy Carter was on the ground floor of promoting alternative forms of energy. His administration subsidised the home owner with tax credits to encourage things like home insulation and energy efficient windows. He earmarked a lot of money toward energy research and development. He saw the future, and was doing something about it. Then, Ronal Reagan gained office, and diverted all that money into the military. You all see where we are now. I cannot answer your question since I don't really know what it is; but as for "who was better for the country?", the answer is obviously "Jimmy Carter."

Carter gets a lot of bad press today but from what I have read he did a pretty decent job considering all the crap that happened that was out of his control.. And he was Navy GO NAVY!!!
