It is absurd to generalize to the point of stating that "According to most of the Liberals' logic: If you support Democrat, you should be taxed at least 50%..." This is simply playing the partisan party rhetoric game. If you are a veteran you should know better than to fall for anyones party lines. And for your information, I too am a veteran and I served proudly under very difficult conditions. I am also a Liberal but I do not make ridiculous generalizations concerning conservatives.
It is time serious minded citizens stopped the immature politics of dissension and started practicing the mature politics of true discourse.

I would be happy to be taxed at a high rate (in fact I AM taxed at a high rate, cause I live in the UK) - 50% should be reserved for those who could afford such a rate; the rich, and this should be brought about by a graded tax scale, where the poorest pay a low amount and the richest pay something like 50%.
And yes, I was thinking of joining the UN.
