Why don't you just ignore him or talk to him like a civilized adult? Hitting isn't the answer and you shouldn't stoop so low. Ask him flat out why he feels the need to be mean. He may not have a good answer but at least you were the bigger person. If he doesn't have an intelligent answer, talk to your coach, explain the situation and what's been going on, request a meeting with this boy and approach this like an adult. If he continues to be mean, simply ignore him. You shoudln't let the actions of others affect you in a negative way ( =

Don't slap him. He's going to get himself in a really tight situation and chances are he's going to break and then he's going to have the same effects as getting slapped except you won't get in trouble for it.
Kids like these are psychologically instable and can break in certain situations especially clutch ones. He'll likely get in trouble with the coach and then there you go, problem solved, he either stops being mean or he quits the team and becomes a nobody. I've seen this happen a lot of times and it's almost guarenteed to happen. So if you can put up with him for a little longer then you won't have to do anything, just watch and enjoy it when he makes an idiot out of himself.

before you go about slapping him...since that could just get you kicked off...you could get in his face without touching him..or tell a coach...as much as every girl wants to slap a guy at least once...it probably isn't the best choice..

Haha, I would slap him.
Just do it when you're in the water so then no one else can see. Like, kick him in the water really hard. be like "Whoops, I didn't try that!" haha.
I'm a mean person to mean people...so yeah...

I have a better idea, hit him with a tazer, then kick his jerking body while he is on the floor screaming like a sissy girl.
