Your "green pills" are the placebo pills in your pack. Generally, once your body gets used to being on the pills, you will having bleeding during that week.

If you were on a longer regimen pill, like Seasonale, or skipped the placebo pills, you would probably not get a period at all, believe it or not. Some women like that, others don't. But most pills out give you 21 pills with hormones, and 7 without.

If you are just starting the pill, it will take a few pill packs to get your cycle on with the pills, so you may or may not get your period during the green pills. Just keep taking your pills once a day at the same time each day no matter what.

It all depends on how long your body takes to adjust. I took one pill where I never started my period until the last day of my placebo. Another one, I didn't start until the 2nd or 3rd day. It probably won't be immediate, but it just depends on the hormone levels in your body and the hormones in your BCP.
