Baseball is by far my favorite sport, although cricket comes in at number two. Had I been exposed to cricket at an earlier age and lived where cricket thrived, perhaps things would be different. While I enjoy baseball far more than cricket, I can easily understand if someone would prefer cricket. I personally have devoted years to playing, watching, and reading baseball, though, and no other sports comes close for me. Cricket is pretty awesome, though, and I'd love to be able to watch it on TV or even find a casual game to join like I used to do quite a bit when I was outside of Kentucky.
Baseball and cricket feature a variety of distinct types of play - hitting, fielding, running, and pitching/bowling. It's more than just getting a ball into a goal/hoop type deal. In baseball and cricket, there is always a chance (however slim) that any team could win a game. In time-constrained goal sports like basketball (which is an excellent sport, and I don't mean to be overly critical), there's often a certain point as time runs down that it is physically not possible for the losing team to win.

Most people in America would say baseball while most in Europe would say cricket. There will always be regional preferences as to which is better. So, I would say that one is not better than the other, it just depends where you live and which of the two you grew up with.

Probably Baseball here (USA), but in other countries and other places or other people cricket, but my personal opinion is baseball.

I've never tried Cricket, but I'd say Baseball hands down, but that's my opinion. I bet Cricket is much friendlier though
