You can't get a parking spot in Boston for $10 a day.
What world do you live in?
Most major cities like Boston have hotel rates over $100.00 a day. And some closer to $200.00.
Not to mention food.
You could sleep on a park bench for free. I guess for $10 you could eat off the $1 menu at Taco Bell. But then you'd have to spend most of your time in a porta potty.

Get a cardboard box and you can live on the streets in Boston for free! Probably can find a nice spot for your box along the Charles river near Storrow drive. Use the $10 for food, though you won't be eating much unless you don't mind dumpster diving!

That is completely unacceptable. It clearly states in most tenancy's and contracts that all repair work is the duty of the landlord to fix. And because you are vulnerable. I.e pregnant your landlord HAS to have your boiler fixed within 48 hours. Where I live if your boiler breaks down, and you have children under 1, old or vulnerable i.e pregnant, suffer from illness living in your home by law they have to fix your boiler within 24 - 48 hours. If they can not do that then they have to supply you with heating fans and cover all expenses incurred as a result of them not being able to fix your boiler within the time period given. That is disgusting him telling you it's going to be another week. I would tell him that another week isn't good enough and if something isn't done your going to seek legal advice and also seek the cost back from having to use these heated fans. God, imagine if you had your new born and no hot water or heating. There is always seeking a private plumbing services and then suing your landlord for the cost of having to call a plumber out. I have done this one time before when I was left waiting over a week in the middle of winter with a new born baby, no heating and no hot water.

I believe you meant $100/day.
If you so, go to Priceline, and bid on Cambridge/Somerville 3* hotels and up. You will most likely get hotels on Memorial, such as the Hyatt, Royal Sonesta, Marlowe. The only hotel on Storrow that uses Priceline is the Doubletree Suites.
If you go further down to Somerville, La Quinta is pretty cheap as well.
Storrow doesnt have many hotels. The Doubletree is your best bet.

$10 a day? Never. Maybe $100. You are not attending this anytime soon.

$10 might get you a half-hours worth of parking for your car in Boston, if you are lucky.
Boston is expensive.
