At the half way point of the season, i have to say Dice-K is a good pitcher. However, Wang seems to be just as good if not better. Wang actually is putting up more w's and go deep into games. Was Dice K worth all that money? 51 million up front ? just want to know, what people think. Biased aside.

Both are performing at about an equal level at this time but Dice-K has a larger up-side potential once he becomes acclimated to this country. I would have to go with Dice-K long term.

I think now Wang because he has more of the experience in this country. Dice-K will be a hell of a pitcher but he just has to get use to pitching here. I mean you pitch mre with less rest and the season is also much longer than that which he is use to.Give him another year or two and I'm sure he will be very good, I mean with that said is anyone really worth 51 million dollars (Probably Not) Especially A NON AMERICAN

I think that they are both great pitchers. Matsuzaka is really good, just not $51 million good. Wang is a good sinker-ball pitcher with great control and is very consistent and durable. The only thing he really can't do is get strikeouts.

Matsuzaka is somewhat inconsistent, but he's got tremendous stuff and is a strikeout pitcher. Right now, I would rather have Wang, but for the future, I'd take Dice-K.

Wang. Doesn't get shelled as much. Dice - K will sometimes have that inning with 4 runs and 6 hits. I've never seen Wang do that. If Wang can start throwing a 4 seamer (the thing goes 97 mph), and can develop a better changeup, I can see him winning a few CY Young awards.

I would def go with Chin Ming Wang, he is a sinker ball pitcher which means not a lot of HRs hit off him and he is more proven then Dice-K. Until Dice-k proves himself i will say Wang is better.

Wang for me. Besides being a Yankees fan, i still think hes the better pitcher. Dice-K is good, i'm not doubting that, but i still think Wang is overall better.

Dice K will get better he has like 7 pitches but is the master of none. As soon as he gets more experience mastering certain situations with a couple I think he will become better.

However, that said, I think Wang will get better too. He is experimenting this year with more sliders and getting a few more strikeouts. I think as soon as he perfects his slider as a strikeout pitch I think he will be elite. Remember, Brandon Webb is a sinker pitcher too. The only difference is that Webb has perfected his 2 strike pitch, his curve, and Wang hasn't.

So I think Wang still has a better upside.

Wang has a great sinker, and was second in Cy Young voting last year. In three years, it will be Dice-K, but right now I say Wang is better

I am a diehard Sox fan, but I'd say it depends the way you look at it. If you want to win one game, I'd probably choose Wang. However, if you compare both of them at their best, Dice K is by far the better pitcher.
