1) Pat Benatar, more enduring music
2) Night Ranger - I really wanted to choose a-ha, but Night Ranger had more hits, and I love a lot of them, esp. "Sister Christian" and "Goodbye."
3) Lionel Richie - he could dance on the ceiling all night long! And the video "Hello" where he lusts after that blind girl...unforgettable.
4) Billy Idol - the hair, the snarl (plus Billy Squire was vulgar)
5) Lita Ford - she sang that song with Ozzy (Close My Eyes Forever) that was so good
6) The Go-Gos - one of the first videos I remember seeing on MTV was "Vacation," and I loved the waterskiing
7) Blondie - "Rapture" is one of my favorites, but I don't like that they started calling it the first rap song
8) Guns N Roses - The whistling on "Patience"
9) Tone Loc or Run DMC - can't choose, hate them both. OK, I'll say Tone Loc, because Funky Cold Medina makes me laugh now, it's so stupid.
10) The Motels - Martha Davis has such a great voice and the songs all have that summery, sultry feel.

Joan Jett, Billy Idol, Lita Ford, Blondie, Aha, AC/DC, the Motels - all are nostalgic for me - remind me of a really great time in my life or something good that I was doing then. I would add to that list: Led Zepplin, Devo, The Ramones, Head East, ZZ Top. Not much reaction to remaining artists - am familiar with all, but the rest just don't do it for me.
Billy Ocean = dancing close, romance, great sex:) Play some Billy Ocean (or David Sanborne) and it's a sure thing:)

1Pat Benatar--Love is a Battlefield--'nuff said.
2A Ha-Take on Me was a truly awesome/creative video!
3Billy Ocean--Caribbean Queen, Get Outta My Dreams (and into my car)-such fun lyrics!
4Billy Idol--not thrilled with Squire's songs. Idol had way more energy in his songs/videos/performances
5-ooo, another hard one! I think Lita Ford was sexier, the way she could play that guitar! I wanted to BE Lita Ford for a while... ;P Samantha Fox had more air time on popular radio...
6-Bangles, definitely-Walk Like an Egyptian, Eternal Flame I know all the lyrics, my all time fave!
7Belinda Carlisle--I still have some of her TAPES (Circle in the sand, Heaven is a Place on Earth)
8Guns N Roses-Welcome to the Jungle and the Terminator features in the video
9-Tone Loc--more humorous videos/lyrics
10Missing Persons--better songs

3) Lionel Ritchie - great singer & songwriter
4) Billy Idol - just cooler - more great songs
5) Lita Ford - rocked harder
6) the Bangles - that Eternal Flame song was really good

8) GNR - just never got into AC/DC
9) Run DMC - more old school, plus they did "Walk This Way" with Aerosmith
