what software comes with a macbook when you get it?

iTunes, iLife (DVD player, CD player, Photo software & more), Safari (web browser). a Mail program and a bunch of others including some games and a basic word processor. You usually don't need anything else.

All the programs are listed, by model, on Apple's website.

How about re-posting and telling us what programs YOU need and we can tell you if ($ and where to get them) they are available.
