My dream is to act on the small screen or the big screen my dad takes me to the movies every week so I can get the gist of how they act in the big times. I stole the show in our last years Christmas play, and for two weeks after all I heard from the teachers was "Oh Samantha, you were so great in the Christmas play"
I was so happy to hear that because I don't want to be an actress because of the fame its just what i love to do and it's what i'm good at, so please HELP ME!!!!!!!!!

Ok well so many people would love to reach that dream. Actually more then you know. You have to think to yourself "Do I want to act because I love acting or for the fame and the fortune?" Well a good agency is calld Osbrink. Its kind of sad that no one on this site has ever come across this agency because its one of the best agencys in the country. they represent Dakota Fanning, Alyson Stoner,Drake Bell and many other people that are amazingly talented go to osbrinkagency.com and look around. Click on submissions and look at what you need to do. But I must warn you if Osbrink was a teacher it would be a very strict teacher. When you send your resume if they dont respond with in 1 to 2 weeks they are not intrested in you at this point and you can resubmitt in 6 months. So make sure your resume is top quality. Also agents are busy people they do not have time to read pages of pages of you talking about yourself. Try your hardest to get your resume to 1 to 2 pages long. Good Luck.

Ok. First, you need to stop typing like that, or else no one will take you seriously. But anyway, if you want to get into acting, send you headshot/resume to a talent AGENCY, not a school. For example, Carter Entertainment is an agency, while John Robert Powers is a school. The difference is that An angency finds you auditions for jobs, while a school prepares you to audition for the agency, and sets up appointments for said auditions. But, if an agent asks for money up front, tell them no. That would be a scam. If a school asks for money up front, if you can afford it, go for it. It's just tuition, just like any college or private school. I currently go to JRP in California, and it has been very beneficial. I've auditioned for agents, managers, and casting directors every two weeks for a while now, and it taught me a lot about the business. MGM Casting and other agencies are interested in me.But don't expect instant stardom. That's probably not going to happen, unless you are amazing and far above anyone else.

Hi,

I'm sure you are a very good actor, but you are at the beginning. Go to this link and download a free 28-page booklet that I have created for young folks just like you who want to know what to do to start their acting careers. It is: http://www.actingcareerstartup.com . All you have to do is sign in and you can download the ebooklet for free.

The second resource is this page, which will make more sense if you read the booklet first. That is: http.//www.actingcareerstartup.com/how_to_get_an_agent.html .

The last thing I will tell you is that it's good that you love it, because sometimes your love for the craft is what will pull you through.

Take care and good luck!

Never pay to get a Talent Agent.
You can't get a Talent Agent unless you have a LOT of acting roles on your resume. You need leading roles not small parts.

When you perform in a play mail your headshot and resume to the Talent Agent and invite him or her to your play.

If he or she is interested in representing you, they may call.
If not interested you will not hear from an Agent.
