I can't speak for everyone, but my house is messy about two thirds of the time. I'm a student, so whenever I have exams or assignments coming up, I tend to neglect the housework! Though last week during the midyear break, my computer broke down and my house had never looked cleaner!

If you ever watch HGTV Organization you will be surprised to see the messes some people live in.While I don*t think "most" people live this way it would seem a great many of them do. I have often wondered myself if everyone is ready for company at the drop of a hat. I know I*m not, because it seems I have a very bad habit of putting things down wherever I happen to be "just for now", If only I could get in the habit of doing what my mother taught me;"While it is in your hand, put it away" but the lesson never took.

I was watching Oprah yesterday and a professional organizer was on and he stated in his opinion that 2/3 of the country live in a pig pen. I do not think that is an official fact, but i can believe it

Nope.

Most people organize for their own benefit. We organize our things to find them and make our lifestyle easier.

If we were nagged as children, they may go through a phase as a teen where they choose to be messy.

However, sometimes when people get sick, the people become more important than the house. The people crisis must be addressed first. People first then things.

By the way, at 50 Most People I know go through a mid-life crisis, and they throw perfectionism out the window. (Thank GOD!) Then they choose a colorful, creative more satisfying life!

GOD bless us always.

No but I have seen some homes that are all messed up; books everywhere, telephone missing somewhere, clothes not folded, the computer screen on one table and the keyboard on the chair, floor not swept, food titbits here and there.
