My guess would be Neil Armstrong. All the others mentioned are specific to a particular culture or religion. Certainly such worthys as Jesus and Mohammed are known throughout a great deal of the world, but certainly not followed by all of it.
But the moon landings are an achievement of humanity as a whole.
The names Apollo and Armstrong are in primary school books in all parts of the world, regardless of their various cultures.
Obviously the Americans focus a bit more heavily on it than others, but the name, and the fame, are exposed to more people than anyone else I can think of.

People worldwide would probably say Mohamed, because there are a billion Muslims in the world. Many would say Jesus,
some Moses...some the Buddha. religious heroes top the list...however, in the USA, sports heroes certainly would have their spot on the list: Michael Jordan, Barry Bonds, Babe Ruth...Some would chose leaders like Martin Luther King, George Washington, Abraham Lincoln. Churchill, and then,m there are the emotionally blind who would chose Chaney-Rove and George. W. Bush.
