You lied to someone you truely cared about.. But when you lied to them you were just acquaintances;3 years later your still caring out that lie? Would you tell them the truth or keep lieing forever.... Would you tell them if you new it would ruin everything you have?

Oh that's a tough one because it's easy for me to give you the accepted answer of 'yes, tell him the truth' or 'how would you feel if you were being lied to - wouldn't you want to know the truth?' but really, some people would rather not know the truth...so it really depends on the lie and what you (or the other person) are going to benefit from telling the truth and if this lie is effecting the relationship you have with them today.

Apparently you did not care about this person when you lied. However, the fact that you feel it is okay to lie to anyone makes a blot on your character. You never know how someone will take it, but most people dislike being lied to. How would you react?

Belive in the saying there's no secret unrevealed.. So it's better if you tell them before it's too late.. That really bothers.. You will keep and it keeps bothering you for the rest of your life if you will still not say it to your friend.. It will more ruin everything IF they are the one found your secret.. So be true to yourself go for it

never tell on yourself. if you were not together it really doens't matter. as far as keeping on telling the lie, why does it have to keep being asked?

I would tell them, but i would do it very smoothly so they wouldn't know the difference between before and after.
