floridamann has a pretty good answer. there are alot of good places you can go to find information. he really is ALL over the internet. a very modern candidate. he's a libertarian republican with a bit of anti-federalist sprinkled on. an example would be: the only reason he wants to overturn Roe v. Wade is because he thinks the federal government should have no say in that area of the law. States should have the right to decide because the Constitution states "all powers not expressly permitted in this area of the document are to be left to the states"...it's a very famous part of it and i think it's in article 1 or 3. He's basically saying, "my opinion on abortion is a moot point because i should have no power over that issue". He wants to close our borders but also FIX the immigration issue with the 12 million illegals already here in the U.S. Stay out of wars because they only financially benefit a few people and they cause way bigger problems than we should be worrying with. some people call him unamerican but this is completely off base as he is the most American (in a way I don't feel guilty about) candidate that's been out there in a long time. I really hope you become a Ron Paul supporter and good luck with your search. I posted some links below.

He's a constitutionalist and a libertarian. He advocates a much smaller federal government, the abolishment of most international and federal organizations (Federal Reserve, NATO, World Bank, etc.). He does not believe in pre-emptive war, and acknowledges that American foreign policies were to blame for the September 11 attacks. There's much more, but I won't go on. Look it up somewhere else if you need to.

Congressman Ron Paul is the leading advocate for freedom in our nation’s capital. As a member of the U.S. House of Representatives, Dr. Paul tirelessly works for limited constitutional government, low taxes, free markets, and a return to sound monetary policies. He is known among his congressional colleagues and his constituents for his consistent voting record. Dr. Paul never votes for legislation unless the proposed measure is expressly authorized by the Constitution.

I think he has his own webiste at ronpaul2008.com (or org)

national protection-How can we preserve ourselves whilst we've our defense force in a hundred thirty international locations? He has the awesome theory in bringing our troops lower back to the U. S., and end protecting Korea, Japan, Europe, and another a ways flung corner of the Earth, on an identical time as ignoring the front door of our very own border. distant places family-This us of a's ultimate circumstances have been whilst we accompanied a coverage of friendship, unfastened commerce, and commerce, on an identical time as keeping off entangling alliances with different international locations. purely at present have we deviated from this theory, with further and extra wars being the end result. economic gadget-putting us on a valid money could be a start up, allowing inflation to be controlled, if no longer completely eradicated. The Federal Reserve does not combat inflation, they reason it. the individuals contained accessible can pick what they pick(oil or selection potential, organic and organic nutrients or vast farm nutrients with chemical components, so on) and pay for that reason. wellbeing Care- allowing markets and human beings themselves to pick what they pick for healthcare could be a sturdy start up, you nonetheless choose an efficient thank you to maintain expenses inexpensive, on account that drugs to save your existence isn't some thing you are able to desire to necessairly boycott. With this being suggested, socialized drugs is a damaging selection, because it will make human beings purely use particular suggestions, no longer experimental or holistic ones if that's what they choose Immigration- With the present situation interior the U. S., I surely agree we could desire to shelter the borders(which ties lower back in with national protection). In a ideal international the place there are not any government advantages and private charities help those in choose, permit whoever needs in, on account that they does not be getting unfastened handouts, they could be coming for a greater powerful existence by way of paintings, no longer government handouts. established, I agree damn close to each little thing he says. some minor factors I dont completely accept as true with, yet no person is ideal.
