as an Englishman who is currently working in the the USA, i feel i must ask this.
The other day whilst getting drunk in my hotel i asked room service to "bring me some lager NOW" to which they rudely replied "You have already had 3 drinks, it is our policy not to serve you any more"
At this point i walked down to the lobby and punched the hotel manager, who very kindly changed his mind and offered me free drinks for life.
Who says violence never solves anything?

The problem occured because you asked for lager. They call it beer (which would be a pint of bitter in UK).
You should have demanded a glass of cold weak gnats p1ss and then you would have got a Budweiser.
Additional: Do you think your comments could spark a war with America? If so could you ask them to actually turn up at the beginning this time rather than waiting till it's nearly over.

The funniest part is the Englishman punching an American and the American getting intimidated. More likely, if you punched an American hotel manager, you would be your cell-mate's girlfriend by now.

I knew who had asked this question before I even looked at the avatar! What have Americans done to you to make you so bitter? I'd be interested to know what it is.
You state that you are in the USA working at the moment. So your hatred of Americans doesn't extend to refusing to use objects that their taxes are paying for

Well Americans obviously have more manners and self control.I don't think you have a right to criticize anyone.And I doubt this ever happened because there is a thing called "Assault"and you would be arrested.So seriously stop criticizing Americans and move on.

I must say that hotel manager got away quite lightly , he wouldn't have got away so lightly if he received a Glasgow kiss from us Glaswegians.

You Brit back down every time If you out number us maybe you will " rat pack " us or if you can throw something and run maybe but one on one never and if you're really in the U.S. get out now boy or watch you mouth Why don't you talk about your one trip to the U .S your so proud of?Few hous ago it was in a store now it's in a hotel My kid sister can take you out!
