I would really need more information to give you a good answer, but here are some general thoughts.
If your mouse is the old type with a ball, try taking the ball out and washing it with warm soapy water. Then use a tooth brush or something else to clean the crud from the rollers inside where the ball goes. Better yet, throw the thing in the trash and spend a few bucks for a basic optical mouse.
Odds are the little pads or feet on the bottom of your mouse have some built up junk. Try scraping these clean and maybe even wiping them with alcohol or something.
If you're using an optical or laser mouse, make sure your desk isn't a solid shiny color or clear glass. If it is either, there may not be enough difference from spot to spot for the mouse to track movement well. Try using a mouse pad or even just a piece of paper.
If you have a cordless mouse, try changing the batteries. After you change the batteries, reconnect the mouse by pressing the button on the receiver followed by the button on the bottom of the mouse.
If you have a cordless mouse, try to make sure the receiver isn't being blocked by other electrical components - even your monitor or speakers can cause interference if they are between the mouse and the receiver.
Update your drivers. Visit the manufacturer's website and download the latest set of drivers for your mouse. It may even work to un-install the current drivers and run without the driver package (just using the windows default).
If you have a USB mouse you could always try using a USB to PS/2 adapter and plugging into your computer's PS/2 port. If you're already plugged into the PS/2 port you could remove the adapter and plug into a USB port (if this applies to your mouse).
Hopefully something in here will help you out.

ok. Counter strike golbal offencive was going to be cross platform (basically consoles vs computer) you want to know why it isn't? because they did an experiment, they took pro console gamers and pitchet them agains average computer gamers with keyboard and mouse. guess what happened..... the PC players anihalated those who were using controlers, EVERY time. mice are far more senstive to movment, and far quicker to click. keyboards allow for customiseation to exactly how you like. the ONLY advantage controlers have is that they have variable speeds (not on or off like PC) keyboard and mouse will always outprefrom a controler in fast pased games.

What do you mean, struggling? Is it trying to climb the monitor, but failing? Or is it running laps around your desk? Give us a clue about what's really happening.

If your mouse is a wheel mouse, id suggest cleaning it, as suggested before, AND check your mouse settings on Control Panel. Check the speed of the mouse pointer, and you can click on "pointer options" tab and choose "enable precision pointing". Hope this helps you out.

Clean it out. Can you take the ball out and clean off the rollers? Lots of gunk accumulates there.
