I had a friend ask something similar, and going back to add something in, I stupidly deleted my entire response (I'm sorry!). So I'll answer this one. But a hug and a kind word always does that for me. Something simple to make me feel loved and appreciated. That always makes my day a little brighter.

Actually everything can and most likely will make me smile. Right now I am reading some of the answers here on Answers. Some of the replies are funny. They've brought a smile and a chuckle to my day. What usually always makes me smile and gives me a really good feeling is the hope and anticipation of a new day. I like the thought that tomorrow, I can do things a little different than today.

Today is my birthday. A few phone calls from my family and friends to wish me happy birthday will make me smile.

A visit form my three year old Grandchild Emma. She has the bluest eyes ever, and a smile that warms my heart and a giggle that is infectious. Besides which she loves to kiss me and hug her Pop Pop. I simply adore her. and she knows it.

A visit from my neighbors dog which happened this morning. I love dogs and can't have one so a visit from one always makes my day.
