I would find the closest lumber supplier(not lumber yard) and check out the different prices because you would probably be better off getting 4ft 4x4's being that 4x4's are only 3 and a half inches thick each way. You may still get a better price to buy these in 8ft lengths and cut them yourself.If you have trouble locating a lumber supplier, many lumber yards will tell you who their supplier is. good luck.
