Well Oracle, that is a very good question. As I see it, Oracle, I uhm.... may call you Oracle right? Well as I see it, Oracle, using someone's name occasionally is good for a few reasons. Oracle..... it keeps the person that is listening focused as they realize that you are directing things straight to them. Much as I'm doing to do right now, Oracle. It also, makes the other person feel good. Everyone likes to hear their name, Right Oracle?
However, Have you ever met one of those people, Oracle, that just overuses a name at every opportunity? Whereas, Oracle, I believe they are trying to get my attention, it immediately makes me tune out because the person seems overbearing...... pushy...... fake..... very pretentious. Don't you think, Oracle?
So for me..... I might only use their name once... just to show them that what I say......is only for them. :)

I would use a person's name at least once within a conversation with them...to show respect for them, and that I'm genuinely interested in what they have to say.

Hardly ever as I sometimes forget names, I usually use hon, I know it's supposed to be better to use their name, but it seems when mine is used when talking to me it's like a direct attack.

Minimally. It's annoying when people say your name in every other sentence.
