Aside from learning new material and gaining new skills and having an excuse to do cheering in the summer, a lot of emphasis is put on bonding. Teams are encouraged to dress alike, take time to get to know one another, play silly games together. It really makes a difference in the quality of relationship a team has.

A cheerleading camp is where you learn cheers, dances, stunts and tips on different things.
A cheer clinic is where you learn cheers, dances, motions and get tips on what you might be doing wrong and other things.

They're both used for practicing dances [depending how long they take the learn,usually you learn the longest ones at camp/clinic]

It also shows what spot you'd be good in,say air throws.you're either the side,the back or the one that jumps in the air.

cheerleading camps and clinics are both used to better yours and your teams skills. They help improve your skills teaching you a variety of things from stunting, sidelines,chants, jumps, and alot of other things including tumbling and dance.
