I have to assume, LOCAL TO YOU,,, a mill or logging company, unless you need it finished, polished, etc.

Check out this site that has some absolutely beautiful curly maple. It's not cheap, but it is striking if finished properly. Also, just send this guy an email as he has lots of odds and ends of stuff lying around that might meet your needs. He has cross sections of maple logs that would look great for that rustic look. Check out his "unusual items" section under "figured hardwoods". I think what you are looking for is called a "fitch".
