how do i get into shared memory settings so that my video card doe not take more memory then i want it to?

2gb but it reads 1791mb
128mb for video before or is it taking more now since i upgraded ram

Turn ON PC then press Del or F2 to enter BIOS menu. Go to Advanced Chipset Features. Look for OnChip VGA Control. You can adjust the size of shared videoram there.

i think if your system wants teh 128 let it have it why not, your not going to see any performance increase between 1791 and a full 2 gigs.

enter the BIOS

and inside the chipset configuration you can set it there

look at your manual motherboard book
