Yes. There are two spiders to be concerned with. The brown recluse and black widow.

To the best of my knowledge, Black Widows are the only dangerously venomous spider found in Mass (and they're not that common). Recluses are a southern and western spider. It's possible that Recluses can turn up anywhere, as they're notoriously prone to travel in moving boxes, etc., but I don't know of any breeding populations up there.

Black Widows are the only serious ones, although the common Yellow Sac Spider is supposed to have a nasty bite. Neither of them are likely to bite you, however, especially since they don't come into contact with people very much. Widows aren't terribly common in Mass., and the sac spiders, while common, tend to hang out up around the tops of walls making those little silk refuges and eating flies and other household pests and ending up in vacuum cleaners.
