If Death is the road to Awe, then Awe is the road to Life, and Life is the road to Death. The circle of life is complete.

It is all in the head!
Many consider life as chasing death. This is the negative or pessimistic thinking on life. These people should realise that Death need not be chased . One will get to it , anyway.
The other positive thinking people will view Death chasing life. For them it is a foregone conclusion that Death will catch up anyway . So, why not live a full life and let the death chase them as they live their adventurous life. They win accolades , climb every mountain and swim against the tide. Finally they are ready for the death. They are not afraid of it. For them Death is the photofinish, not a road but a lane to awe.
What socrates may have meant is for those people who await the death , with no useful purpose served in living. For them death is a blessing, a getaway.

Is this one of those Bing Crosby / Bob Hope films? I really liked those. I must say 'The Road to Perdition' was a bit of a let down, though.
