You Aline the Eng straight then at the steering helm unwind the cable turning the wheel a little an install the cable while turning the wheel, may have to do this a couple of times till the steering wheel sits straight.them secure it . Happy boating

I not sure how this is made. But, on the Engine to Steering Cable there is a "Arm" that connect. Many times it have one or both ends can screw in/out. Remove the nut at the Steering cable and turn the steering wheel all the way in one direction and then count the turns to turn all the way in the other direction. Then 1/2 the number and turn back that many and adjust the "Arm" and reconnect.
Example; you turn the steering wheel all the way. Then we will say it takes 3 turns to turn it the other way! Turn back 1 1/2 turns and this should be close to center. Then you screw the "Arm" in/out until it can reconnect. BE SURE the engine is CENTERED!
Once this adjusted and if you want your steering wheel to look straight you remove the center cover, remove the Nut and see if it will adjust, but, many have a "Key" and will only mount one way, you will see the slot when you remove the nut. Some have "Splines" so you can make it look better.
IF, you want the Steering wheel to turn a little tight/loose, look under the dash and some have an adjut Bolt on the steering wheel shaft for tension.
