Women who live in the south only! Especially Alabama breast augmentations.

Have you had a breast augmentation done in one of those small southern places in the us? If so how much was the whole cost of surgery?

Alabama has a low cost of living. Therefore cost of surgery should be very low. If you have had a breast augmentation in the US for under $4000 please let me know where and who.

People from Aussie usually go overseas to do it.
Cosmetic holiday packages to Malaysia and Thailand are cheaper than surgery in Australia because of the low cost of living, low taxes, favourable exchange... have a think about that. Maybe be cheaper your way also .. and you won't have to see anyone (if you want to keep your procedure to yourself) Alot of women travel take a girlfriend with them and both get some thing done.

As always you will read about some horror story - but I believe you get them in any country ..

Search for : plastic surgery holiday packages.

While cost is always something to consider when making a decision, you should consider several factors including the cost, especially when deciding on a surgeon. There are many components that will cause a variance in the cost of your surgery, such as the doctor's credibility, where it is done, the anesthesia, and the overall procedure etc.

When choosing a doctor you should make sure that you are having your surgery preformed by a board certified surgeon. You should also make sure that you do plenty of research on the surgery you are getting. I would recommend you start your research process on breast augmentation here: http://www.newimage.com/cosmetic-plastic-surgery/breast/augmentation-overview.aspx, this site will provide a large amount on information on your surgery as well as link you with affordable doctors within your area. The importance in doing research about this is so that you will understand what you doctor tells you and so that you know what questions are important to you.

Best of luck finding a surgeon and on your surgery!

Please listen to 1M9. That's not to say that there isn't a reasonably priced surgeon out there, but don't let cost be your only criteria. I have an assistant that had weight reduction surgery (lap band) and contracted a staph infection. She had the surgery about 3 or so months before coming to work for me. The infection showed up about a month after she came to work for me, and after three doctors and five surgeries, it's still not well under control. She hasn't been to work in almost six months. She went with the cheapest doctor since it was elective surgery and insurance wouldn't pay for it.

Once you have a couple of doctors' names, check them out for complaints with your state licensing board for medical professionals. Also, look them up on the Internet, you'd be surprised what kind of information you can get on people out here. Then check with some references.

Sorry I don't have a more specific answer for you. Good luck!

A quick tip- cheap surgery is cheap for a reason. They are usually done by butchers or those with very little experience. This is your life we're talking about, don't go for the cheapest surgeon you can find. Go for the most reputable with satisfied customers who are willing to give testimonials about the professionalism of the doctor.

Surgery is not something you should buy at a discount.
