I am not sure I understand your question, but yes. Once last winter the snow was converted into ice and blocked the downspouts. The melting ice water entered the house and flooded the family room. It was a mess.

I was on a bus home once and it took half an hour to get up the Bede bank. A trip that normally takes less than a minute, two if it stops.
People were on their mobiles trying to explain that they really were on the bus and they really were on the Bede bank for that long.
