You want a challange? Okay, try this: write four poems about love...only you need to write them about:
An orange
An empty cup
A wilted flower
A broken window
they can be funny, serious, show the bright side, or the dark side of love...BUT, they cannot, repeat "CANNOT" use the word "love"...they must either imply it, or allude to it through metaphor or parable.
It is easier than you'd first expect, but difficult to make "good"...one thing's for sure, you'll end up with far better poems than if you started writing about "someone" you loved, or about "love" itself. Try it...I promise you'll enjoy the process and it will open you up to entire new avenues of expression.

I don't know what to tell you. I can't can't write about love because I have neve experienced it. My poems are usually depressing and I hope you read them because i'm looking for imput on whether or not to start writing a pietry book.
I think you should write about a girl that's never been loved yet it's what she yearns for the most. The only way for her to find love is to open up so she can explore it. I hope this is somewhat helpful.

The joy of a refreshing beverage on a hot day, the thrill you feel when you find that perfect outfit, or the pride that stirs in you when have just cleaned your home or made a nice dinner. Love, can come in many forms and each emotion contributes to the love you find in your life. You can be in love but if you forget the other things around you that helped you to have that one grand feeling that love can turn bitter. Inspiration is all around.

Well, if you like writing about love...
Write about the specific moment where you think you might be in love with someone, but are trying to convince yourself that it's something else.
Or try writing about: The day I caught my parents in a lie.
Take care.

Hmm...poetry. I love it. Love writing it.
Let the inspiration come to you.
What you are feeling.
It will happen just let yourself start writing, don't think too much about it and before you know it, it will be poetry. Something that means something to YOU.

Just turn your eyes in to the skies
or listen a sound which sounds peculiar
tear your heart into thousands of peices
spread all of them before you to try out
what feeling that each bit kept itself and
persuades you to write a poem about them
please write about them
to make thousands of poems

Please write me a poem about a soldier's struggle to be loyal
and serve his country well, amidst all the suffering and injustice he/she has to witness...not anti-war, but the toll it takes on your personality....that would be a very interesting poem!
