Not intelligence, its cos they r cultivated 2 work hard from all walks of society. Be it school, home r anywhere - there is hardcore competition and 1 is pushed by parents/teachers from a very young age 2 work hard. Also lil conservative with money and spending v r lil insecured abt the future, so v live by the policy "save 4 the rainy day" n end up workin for more than just our requirement

No race is inherently smarter than others. However, in many parts of Asia much emphasis is put on hard work and children are encouraged from a very young age to do well in school and studies. It's not that Asians are inherently more intelligent, simply that they have been raised to study hard.

Ppl may be tall, well built and white OR short, thin, black or yellow. You may discriminate by looks but the fact is that brains are not superior in any particular race. Even in tribes not well developed 'cz of lack of opportunities, you may find very intelligent ppl , leave alone the asians in whom may be less in proportion, but ppl go for higher education and reach the top of the world. It's felt that advanced work in many fields in the developed countries is possible cz of the 'cream' they get from asian and african nations!
PS- I think work, God and family are enough to make one's life! What is wrong with that?

Overlooked and put in last place by whom? I'm a classical musician, and I can tell you they tend to Take 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in piano competitions!

I think that what's lacking is self esteem, and specifically, a value placed on human life. In Christian thought, each life has been purchased by a God who loved enough to die. In some Asian countries, I understand that "excess children," especially girls, are left to die. In Asian people I often see an astonishing hardness, and sadness. Winning doesn't help if you don't feel loved.

i lived in Japan for almost 4 years...what i found is that children are pushed to go to school hard until the end of high school...their college, if they make the cut, which is a small percent of the population, don't have to study as it is party time...seriously...then they get a job and work themselves so hard they barely have a life...their priorities are: work, god, family...and that is how they live their lives...yes lots of things are made in china, they work more, produce more, because their lives surround it...which is better...i can't say but i know my work takes a lot of time but is not more important than my family
