I live in hawaii but I'm noy real tan. I'm in decent shape. Worried because some guys look rediculus with razor burn and stuff. A lot of people here are hairless and I cant believe that is natural on all of them. I'm not thick hair but medium amount. I am 23 years old.

From my understanding, shaving isn't the way to go. Regrowth is spiky - you'd be looking at shaving every 2 days to keep it clear. Don't put yourself through it. I'm sure girls would prefer a guy with a medium amount of chest hair to one who hogs the mirror.
You could look into laser hair removal. It's a little pricy, but after 2-3 lasers the hair will be gone forever.

Maybe you should try just down-sizing it to a strip/patch between your pecs. That area is what I've noticed is most prone to razor burn - not to mention stray and ingrown hairs! I really recommend using something like nair instead of shaving. I don't know why, but when you shave, it looks like the hair starts to spread after a while...
Personally, I think anything other than- (a) nothing, or (b) just some in the middle -is gross :) But girls have different preferences. It's probably best to just go for what you like.

If you want to get rid of your chest hair, don't shave it, wax it! It's much better, lasts longer and you don't get the same horrible stubble grow back.
Have a go and see what you think, if you don't like it, it will always grow back.

Actually I was on the crapper the other day and read a recent poll that over 70% of women prefer a modest amount of chest hair.

dont even think about shaving, the more you shave the more your hair will grow thick and hard, so be your self.
Many people naturally dont have chest hair

My boyfriend shaves his chest and I love it... no razor burns what so ever... he is kind of tan though.

i'd say nair it all if you're chest is hard. (like muscular, not all flabby and squishy.)
if not, keep it. i'd prefer it shaved. i say nair, because you won't get a razor burn. as long as you're not allergic, it should work..
