True life. The recent cat food scare. Our cat vomited green. we thought, what in the world? we changed her to tuna, she got better in a week.

At the end of the week we saw on the news, all the cat food was bad, we had just fed her the one pouch from the bad batch, she got sick on it, that week before. Other people just thought it was some random illness. Like how people just "get sick."

This is because people are always in contact with each other. Our cat is an at home, inside 24 hours cat, so we just thought, okay what could cause this, it's stomach, must be the food, change it.

We feel lucky. Other people we know, their cats died, or ended up in the hospital with kidney damage. Our cat is healthy as ever, except for that one fateful day.. when she got sick, and made it through.

I have the perfect example. I am a costume designer, so I will tell you about a real life "stitch in time". When I made a costume for a very large person, I went to the extra trouble of sewing the underarm seams with a special folded over seam, that requires stitching the whole thing twice.

When he was approaching the stage, he tripped on the edge of the step and thrust his arms out. The (commercially made) tunic he was wearing ripped out the arms, but the robe over it which I made stayed intact, and saved the day. He was able to go on with his performance.
