...During the day we can see very clearly, but at night we can gaze at the stars far away...do you prefer to look at what's in front of you, or do you usually look further, far away...?

Thanks for your comments!

I know what I have in front of me, which I don't take for granted...

I prefer to look further, to discover things that are unknown to the naked eye...

Both have their equal importance...its just like deciding between the present and the future...the present is important as well as the future. the present is a chance, the future is Hope.
similarly whatever we look at in the daytime which is right in front of us, is a chance, a reality. At night, gazing at the far-away stars, is like a part of a magical feeling,a feeling of nostalgia, a curiosity to look beyond the stars, to look towards the future, to hope and to wish upon the stars...
for me both are very very important...
so i would prefer both...
:)

Both. Being able to see clearly in the day means we can enjoy all the details of this beautiful world. I love taking macro (ultra close-up) photos of nature, exploring the minute details of flowers & plants. At night it is relaxing to look up at a sheet of black littered with diamonds. To gaze dreamily at the stars & dream of what might be...

I couldn't choose between the two experiences because they are so different & I like each for different reasons. I just thank God for the gift of sight to enjoy the beauty of this world, day & night...

I prefer to look at what is in front of me, and to attempt
to look outward along those strings of possibilities as
much as the situation and my considerations allow.
In my experience, a significant number of people
try to place their current being into evaluations of
the distant future such that all improvements in between
that interval are not accounted for. We have the opportunity
to constantly improve along the way and that makes the
distant future a less definitive, and more inaccurate,
prediction by leaving out the improvements in between.

Why not both? We should be grateful and experiance all we can get. I prefer to look futher away because they might not be avaliable forever... but the things that are close can alwas be there for you where it started out as...but if you even look at, that's a start...

Both, actually.

During the day, I focus on business at hand.

At night, I relax and indulge in leisurely activities like gazing at the stars.

Far away, skyward, to the deep past, and also farther ahead, the far future, in inner space.

I used to be in the Navy, now I am a science fiction writer.

I like the night sky. in daylight everything is far too visible..every beauty and every flaw of everything.
at night the flaws are invisible-- and the universe is flawless
