The match between Sir Alex and Roy Keane would receive its fair share of publicity. Other than that, there wont be too much noise about the match.

Unless Roy Keane's Sunderland hit the ground running and impressed before the Sept 1st match, Sept 1 might be be another game (and optimistic, another win) for Man Utd. Sunderland cannot compete with the depth present in Man Utd at the moment.

Sir Alex wards have not fared better against Man Utd in the premiership: Steve Bruce, Mark Hughes and gladly adding, Roy Keane.

It's not about how long, but how eager for the matches to begin. From now to 1st Sept is about 3 weeks from now. The highly-anticipated match between Man Utd and Sunderland will bring a first encounter between mentor and disciple.

Sir Alex's Red Devils has the skills and abilities to wreck any defenses in premiership, but Roy Keane has instilled discipline and determinations to which even star-studded teams can't intimidate them.

Cheers :)

obviously the media will hype this match up as a battle between the master and the pupil.

but yawn, come on, i bet fergie has a lot of tricks in his sleeves.

abt 54 days from today...
but for the fans... thats hard to say. fergie was almost right to say they have now prob the strongest squad in eur. hargreaves, anderson, nani, tevez.... then u have giggs, scholes, carrick,c.ron, etc.... but then it smell a bit too much to stablise in time... much the same at anfield and stamf.bridge.. legions of recruits abound... can they settle in time? from a premiership point of view, i think arsenal (barring catastrophe exits) will be most stable in the starting month of sept...

man u fans? behold europe... i think thats where fergie's holy grail is. a second CL title will most definitly make him considering sealing his legacy.
