im a yoga teacher for kids in the age of 10-13, and i make them do 35 situps before we start and 35 before they go. which one would be better to use?

p.z.
most of the kids say to use full pushups, so dont think they cant do full ones.

Half-way sit ups, or crunches, are much better for you. Full sit ups place a lot of stress on your lower back that can lead to complications if done consistantly for an extended amount of time.

There's a Reason the Marine Corps doesn't do full sit ups anymore, and Marines are notorious for being in great shape, so there you go :)

I would say try half sit ups or crunches because they aren't as hard on the back. I learned that from my dr and also something that I read in an article in the newspaper about 2 weeks ago.

Since these are pretty young kids, the full sit ups are best.
On grown ups, the half way sit ups work best- I read this.
