My fathers engagement ring.
He gave it to me when my mum and he split up.
It reminds me of the intensity of their love and of their fight.
Its just a love story gone wrong.........Sad really.

From my father I inherited the love for those in need. The elderly, the sick, the poor, the outcasts.
From my mother I inherited her joyfulness, her love for life and her sociability.
Natural features are ok, but I cherish personality...features the most.

I have a few things that I kept when my parents died but since I never got round to leaving home (I looked after them), it's not like I inherited anything. They were in my house anyway and I just kept them.
The only exception would be my Grandma's Family Bible, it's nearly 100 years old.

I had been planning on answering "Friendship," but now that I've read the question I'd have to answer "My sense of humor". Since this is not a tangible item--it's very difficult to ascertain where I got it...I probably found it while rummaging through trash cans when I was a kid, since it's a "trashy" sense of humor!

The idea that I have the freedom to pursue that which makes me feel good about myself. This was taught to me by my Grandmother. She allowed me to be myself and become what I wanted when I was with her. She encouraged exploration and questions.
