Random acts of kindness, senseless acts of beauty, innocence, nature untouched, believing that everything happens for a reason.

I can tell you what makes me push on through bad times, instead of what gives me hope. Same thing, right?

The fact that other people have it worse than I do. If I fall and graze my knee, I do not cry. Because people have suffered worse than that. I try and think up an example of someone, and if I can't, I actually think of cartoon characters. Yes, I'm that much of a dork.

I think of Neji Hyuga from Naruto, when he got stabbed by six knives in the back and had two arrows shot through him. And Haku and Hinata. It may seem silly that I think of anime characters experiences as real, but it is the only thing I can think of sometimes. Others have been through so much more than I have.

Another thing that makes me push on is the faith in myself. I do not allow anyone to put me down, because I know I'm going to do something good for this world, even if no-one knows it yet. We must have belief in ourselves.

But I don't hope too much. I don't 'expect' good things to happen. Yes, I *want* them to happen, especially if the good thing would be a passing crocodile hunter if I was being attacked by a saltwater croc. In the legend of Pandora's Box, almost all the sorrows went out. But Zeus told Pandora to close the box just in time, and one sorrow was kept in. The sorrow was hope itself, because according to Zeus, hope is the worst sorrow a man (or woman, hmph. -_-) can suffer. Because you expect high things, and get small things.

That's all I'm saying. xD

What gives me hope is the fact that there are thousands of other people who are in worse conditions than me. I am actually quite lucky that I am here in front of my computer right now, while others are suffering of hunger and poverty.

There are actually many times when I want to just give up but I continue to be open-minded and remain faithful to God. :)

Henry's right. Hope is merely wanting to get what you want; money is the most definitive way to do that. God will work in ways that may seem, at times, to be unbeneficial to specific mortals who are 'hoping' for a particular outcome.
