Silver is better. In wedding rings the silver color is referred to as white gold or platinum. I think platinum is more expensive.
Silver or white gold wears better because gold itself is a soft metal which means to me that a gold ring would be more susceptible to damage (dents, bending out of shape,etc)

Platinum is more preferable 'cos if silver does not suit your skin, it will turn black after some time. Wedding rings should be sth more lasting as i do hope to have a good and lasting marriage.

Gold is very soft especially high quality gold like 24kt. gold the less gold it has in it the stronger it is....sterling silver is stronger than gold.

looks more modern and enhanced and just looks a lot better with diamonds and i belive is the best..
